Henry Bath Opens Warehouse in Shanghai, China

January 29, 2004 Henry Bath & Son Ltd today announced the opening of its new metals and commodity warehousing operation in the Freeport of Shanghai, China.

Announcing the new location, Peter Sellars, Henry Bath CEO, commented: "I am delighted to confirm that we have now signed the agreement for the Shanghai warehouse. The opening of the Shanghai operation continues our strategy of growing our metals and commodity business in locations that we have identified as strategically important in supporting the flow of trade to those areas emerging as the new global manufacturing base. The Port of Shanghai has established itself as a major location for the storage and distribution of metals and commodity products.

The Shanghai location will be managed from Henry Bath's regional offices in Singapore, whilst the day-to-day warehousing and logistics operations will be performed by an established local logistics provider. All metal storage will be on a private basis as Shanghai is not yet listed as a delivery location by the London Metal Exchange for good delivery against any of its metal contracts.

The opening of Shanghai as a new warehouse location brings the total number of Henry Bath worldwide locations to seventeen, following the opening last year of Henry Bath warehouses in Dubai, UAE and in Busan and Gwangyang, South Korea.
