We are approved by the world's premier commodity Exchanges, including Liffe and the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), to issue Exchange-traded bearer documents (Warrants) for coffee and cocoa stored at our facilities worldwide. The Exchanges continually audit our operations to ensure we are meeting their rigorous standards and delivering a high quality service to our customers year after year.
Storage and handling of soft commodities demands great professional skill and close attention to detail. We employ people with long-standing experience who understand the special needs of soft commodity cargoes. We regularly monitor the temperature, humidity and pest control in our warehouses and inspect stock for any traces of condensation or mould. Where required, we can recondition distressed cargo for our clients in accordance with the regulations of the Exchange.
Our Henry Bath branded Warrants and Warehouse Receipts are recognised by the world's major international banks as financeable documents, allowing our customers to readily finance their physical stocks of coffee and cocoa. We employ sophisticated stock control systems for accurate real-time reporting, and we install comprehensive security systems in our warehouses to protect our clients' valuable stocks.
Our clients frequently ask us to draw representative samples, per bill of lading, from their soft commodity cargoes arriving at our warehouses from origin countries. Our highly trained and experienced sampling teams ensure that each sample is properly drawn, labelled and recorded. We check the samples for bean count, defect, slate, residue and foreign matter at our on site grading rooms and report the grading results back to our clients for their further instruction.
